The actual facts are that there has not been a terrorist attack on US soil by a foreign national since the attacks on NYC and the Pentagon in September of 2001. 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. The attackers were Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia and several other Arab nations. Some of the terrorists had lived in the United States for more than a year and had taken flying lessons at American commercial flight schools. Others had slipped into the country in the months before September 11 and acted as the “muscle” in the operation.
None of 9/11 attackers were refugees from war-torn countries. Many of them came from our friend Saudi Arabia.
Refugees coming from Syria, just to name a country where their own President is firing on his citizens, have passed a multi-year investigation into their personal backgrounds and include retinal scans and finger printing to insure they are who we say they are when they enter the US.
